If You Want to Look Expensive...Start With Your Hairđ¤â¨
Your hair is your best accessory.

â¨Your Affirmation of the Weekâ¨
âI continue to prioritize my happiness.â
Hair First, Darling. đ
Letâs get one thing straight: a womanâs hair is never just hair. Itâs her mood, her energy, her silent power play. And if you ask me, every main character moment starts with a good blowout.
In this weekâs edition of How to Become Unrecognisable by Summer, weâre talking about your hair glow upâthe silent statement that says, âIâve entered my new era.â
Because the woman youâre becoming? She doesnât do frizz and regret. She does bouncy blowouts, silk presses, sleek buns, and styles that turn heads without trying.
Think Princess Mia post-makeover. That first reveal? Was Iconic. Life-altering. Proof that presentation matters, and nothing boosts confidence like the right cut, color, and attitude.
Or Marilyn Monroeâthe transformation from Norma Jeane into the Marilyn Monroe was as much about the platinum curls and the red lips as it was about the mindset.
Because when you change your hair, you change your energy. You walk differently. You carry yourself like youâve already arrived. People notice. You notice.
Similar to how your demeanor changes when you get a new hairstyle. Suddenly, youâre standing taller, flirting with your reflection, saying âthank youâ instead of âsorryâ.
Thatâs the power of a fabulous hairstyle. So, letâs get into it.
đ¤ Step 1: Your Hair Should Match Your Standards
When you picture the highest version of yourselfâthat version youâre becomingâwhatâs her hair like?
Is it thick, voluminous, bouncing with every step?
Is it slicked back into a clean, no-nonsense bun?
Maybe itâs braided, textured, natural, effortlessâbut always intentional.
Your hair should match the energy of the woman youâre becoming. Think of it as a physical representation of your inner transformation.
This doesnât mean spending hours every day with a curling iron. It means choosing styles that make you feel confident, collected, and like youâve arrived.
Keep in mind that weâre not chasing trends. Weâre curating presence.
đ¤ Step 2: Pinterest Is Your Power Tool
A personal stylist may not be in the cards (yet), but Pinterest? Sheâs free. And sheâs fabulous.
Start by creating a âSummer 2025 Hairâ board. I do this every year, and itâs become one of my favorite rituals.
And to take it up a level? Create sections within your board:
Everyday
Brunch
Beach days
Night out glam
âI just threw this up, but still look stunningâ hair
Vacation mode (Italy vibes, obviously)
This helps you stay focused, get clear on what you actually love, and avoid spiraling into every trend that pops up on your feed.
TIP: Since you canât save everything on Pinterest, save the restâTikToks, Reels, screenshotsâand organize them into a âNew Hairâ album on your phone. Itâs basically your mood board in my pocket.
This little visual library becomes your reference every time youâre:
Booking a hair appointment
Styling your hair at home
Shopping for hair tools or accessories
Reinventing your whole life (as one does)
đ¤ Step 3: Know What Works For You
Not all inspo is good inspo if it doesnât match your texture, lifestyle, or face shape.
This is where personal elegance comes in. You donât need to force a trend or chase viral stylesâtrue style is when your hair looks like it was made for you.
Ask yourself:
What styles flatter my face shape the most?
Whatâs manageable for my daily life?
What makes me feel most like her (the dream version of me)?
This is your reminder that the clean girl bun isnât worth it if it gives you a headache or pulls your edges. Donât dye your hair platinum if the upkeep will drain your soul (and your bank account). Go for polished and something you can upkeep.
đ¤ Step 4: Learn the Basics
Every woman should know how to style her own hair. Itâs a skill, and itâs worth developing.
Choose 2â3 go-to looks:
One signature everyday style
One effortless glam style
One quick recovery style (think slick bun or a claw clip rescue)
Learn them. Master them. These looks become your beauty safety net. Because you never know when youâll need to be ready.
Blair Waldorf didnât walk into rooms looking perfect by accident. And neither do you.
đ¤ Step 6: Treat Your Hair Like a Birkin Bag
Handle with care. Hydrate. Trim. Protect.
Start upgrading your routine:
Use a silk pillowcase or silk scarf
Deep condition regularly
Stop brushing wet hair like youâre fighting it
Invest in tools that protect, not damage
Stop skipping trims (split ends arenât chic)
This isnât vanityâitâs value. Youâre showing yourself that you are worth the effort. And when you treat your hair with care, it starts to look (and act) the part.
Recommendation Corner đ
Here are some resources I swear by (and stalk religiously) to keep my hair looking healthy and full of volume.

⨠Things That Caught My Eye This Week
You know Iâm always on the hunt for beauty, luxury, and a bit of old-world charm. Hereâs what had me absolutely hooked this week:
đ I spotted the most perfect pair of vintage Chanel earrings in a TikTok this weekâclassic, elegant, and with that timeless CC charm. Naturally, I went full detective and found a pair on eBay. Youâre welcome in advance.
đ¤ This isnât just a hotelâitâs a royal daydream. The Four Seasons Florence looks like something out of a fairytale, with original 1400s frescoes on the ceilings, grand crystal chandeliers, and a marble bathroom that feels more like a spa in a palace. I stumbled on this TikTok showcasing the suite, and letâs just say⌠Itâs now on my vision board.
đ Iâve been deep-diving into the opulence of the Romanov dynasty lately, and Iâm obsessed (with the wealth). Think jaw-dropping jewelry collections, gorgeous estates, and traditions drenched in luxury. Thereâs something about old money history that never fails to fascinate meâitâs like stepping into a different, more extravagant world. Admittedly, these are the 2 videos (The Romanov Family Wedding Place & What Happened to the Romanov Fortune) that started my search.
đž The Monte-Carlo Masters. Yes, the tennis is eliteâbut itâs the fashion, the atmosphere, and the vlogs for me. TikTok has been serving peak aesthetic from this event, and Iâve been watching with heart eyes. Effortless Euro glam, seaside views, and luxury cars? Say less.
Hair is never âjust hair.â Itâs the most visible part of your identity. Itâs what people see first. Itâs how you show the world who you are without saying a single word.
So choose a style that says:
âIâm not who I used to be.â
âI value myself enough to invest in how I show up.â
âThis era? Itâs all about me.â
Let your hair speak volumes⌠even before you say a word.
