If You Want to Look Expensive...Start With Your Hair🤍✨

Your hair is your best accessory.

✨Your Affirmation of the Week✨

“I continue to prioritize my happiness.”

Hair First, Darling. 💕

Let’s get one thing straight: a woman’s hair is never just hair. It’s her mood, her energy, her silent power play. And if you ask me, every main character moment starts with a good blowout.

In this week’s edition of How to Become Unrecognisable by Summer, we’re talking about your hair glow up—the silent statement that says, â€œI’ve entered my new era.”

Because the woman you’re becoming? She doesn’t do frizz and regret. She does bouncy blowouts, silk presses, sleek buns, and styles that turn heads without trying.

Think Princess Mia post-makeover. That first reveal? Was Iconic. Life-altering. Proof that presentation matters, and nothing boosts confidence like the right cut, color, and attitude.

Or Marilyn Monroe—the transformation from Norma Jeane into the Marilyn Monroe was as much about the platinum curls and the red lips as it was about the mindset.

Because when you change your hair, you change your energy. You walk differently. You carry yourself like you’ve already arrived. People notice. You notice.

Similar to how your demeanor changes when you get a new hairstyle. Suddenly, you’re standing taller, flirting with your reflection, saying “thank you” instead of “sorry”.

That’s the power of a fabulous hairstyle. So, let’s get into it.

🤎 Step 1: Your Hair Should Match Your Standards

When you picture the highest version of yourself—that version you’re becoming—what’s her hair like?

Is it thick, voluminous, bouncing with every step?

Is it slicked back into a clean, no-nonsense bun?

Maybe it’s braided, textured, natural, effortless—but always intentional.

Your hair should match the energy of the woman you’re becoming. Think of it as a physical representation of your inner transformation.

This doesn’t mean spending hours every day with a curling iron. It means choosing styles that make you feel confident, collected, and like you’ve arrived.

Keep in mind that we’re not chasing trends. We’re curating presence.

🤎 Step 2: Pinterest Is Your Power Tool

A personal stylist may not be in the cards (yet), but Pinterest? She’s free. And she’s fabulous.

Start by creating a â€œSummer 2025 Hair” board. I do this every year, and it’s become one of my favorite rituals.

And to take it up a level? Create sections within your board:

  • Everyday

  • Brunch

  • Beach days

  • Night out glam

  • “I just threw this up, but still look stunning” hair

  • Vacation mode (Italy vibes, obviously)

This helps you stay focused, get clear on what you actually love, and avoid spiraling into every trend that pops up on your feed.

TIP: Since you can’t save everything on Pinterest, save the rest—TikToks, Reels, screenshots—and organize them into a “New Hair” album on your phone. It’s basically your mood board in my pocket.

This little visual library becomes your reference every time you’re:

  • Booking a hair appointment

  • Styling your hair at home

  • Shopping for hair tools or accessories

  • Reinventing your whole life (as one does)

🤎 Step 3: Know What Works For You

Not all inspo is good inspo if it doesn’t match your texture, lifestyle, or face shape.

This is where personal elegance comes in. You don’t need to force a trend or chase viral styles—true style is when your hair looks like it was made for you.

Ask yourself:

  • What styles flatter my face shape the most?

  • What’s manageable for my daily life?

  • What makes me feel most like her (the dream version of me)?

This is your reminder that the clean girl bun isn’t worth it if it gives you a headache or pulls your edges. Don’t dye your hair platinum if the upkeep will drain your soul (and your bank account). Go for polished and something you can upkeep.

🤎 Step 4: Learn the Basics

Every woman should know how to style her own hair. It’s a skill, and it’s worth developing.

Choose 2–3 go-to looks:

  • One signature everyday style

  • One effortless glam style

  • One quick recovery style (think slick bun or a claw clip rescue)

Learn them. Master them. These looks become your beauty safety net. Because you never know when you’ll need to be ready.

Blair Waldorf didn’t walk into rooms looking perfect by accident. And neither do you.

🤎 Step 6: Treat Your Hair Like a Birkin Bag

Handle with care. Hydrate. Trim. Protect.

Start upgrading your routine:

  • Use a silk pillowcase or silk scarf

  • Deep condition regularly

  • Stop brushing wet hair like you’re fighting it

  • Invest in tools that protect, not damage

  • Stop skipping trims (split ends aren’t chic)

This isn’t vanity—it’s value. You’re showing yourself that you are worth the effort. And when you treat your hair with care, it starts to look (and act) the part.

Recommendation Corner đŸ“š

Here are some resources I swear by (and stalk religiously) to keep my hair looking healthy and full of volume.

  • 🎥 YouTube: How to Do the Perfect 90s Blowout Like a Pro: If you want supermodel volume? This is the video. Big, bouncy, glam-girl hair that turns heads wherever you go. Bookmark this before your next date night or girls’ brunch.

  • 🎥 YouTube: Brad Mondo: Whether you’re trimming split ends, trying curtain bangs, or doing a full-on dye job at 2 AM (no judgment), Brad’s videos will guide you through it—without the post-breakdown regret.

  • 🎥 YouTube: Abbey Yung: If your hair feels dry, brittle, or like it’s been through a lot, Abbey is your girl. She breaks down exactly how to get the longest, healthiest hair of your life. Her drugstore and high-end recommendations are gold—I’ve personally added some to my routine and never looked back.

  • 🎥 YouTube: Niara Alexis: For the relaxed-hair girlies, this channel is your holy grail. If you want healthy, shiny, damage-free strands, Niara shares practical tips, full washday routines, mid-week hair refreshes, styling, and so much more.

✨ Things That Caught My Eye This Week

You know I’m always on the hunt for beauty, luxury, and a bit of old-world charm. Here’s what had me absolutely hooked this week:

🛍 I spotted the most perfect pair of vintage Chanel earrings in a TikTok this week—classic, elegant, and with that timeless CC charm. Naturally, I went full detective and found a pair on eBay. You’re welcome in advance.

🤍 This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a royal daydream. The Four Seasons Florence looks like something out of a fairytale, with original 1400s frescoes on the ceilings, grand crystal chandeliers, and a marble bathroom that feels more like a spa in a palace. I stumbled on this TikTok showcasing the suite, and let’s just say… It’s now on my vision board.

👑 I’ve been deep-diving into the opulence of the Romanov dynasty lately, and I’m obsessed (with the wealth). Think jaw-dropping jewelry collections, gorgeous estates, and traditions drenched in luxury. There’s something about old money history that never fails to fascinate me—it’s like stepping into a different, more extravagant world. Admittedly, these are the 2 videos (The Romanov Family Wedding Place & What Happened to the Romanov Fortune) that started my search.

🎾 The Monte-Carlo Masters. Yes, the tennis is elite—but it’s the fashion, the atmosphere, and the vlogs for me. TikTok has been serving peak aesthetic from this event, and I’ve been watching with heart eyes. Effortless Euro glam, seaside views, and luxury cars? Say less.

Hair is never “just hair.” It’s the most visible part of your identity. It’s what people see first. It’s how you show the world who you are without saying a single word.

So choose a style that says:

“I’m not who I used to be.”

“I value myself enough to invest in how I show up.”

“This era? It’s all about me.”

Let your hair speak volumes… even before you say a word.
