How to Set Goals You Will Actually Stick to In 2025.šŸ¤šŸŒŸ

Let's start 2025 with intention, clarity, and a plan that feels goods.

✨Your Affirmation of the Week✨

ā€œI set goals that are aligned with my values and the life I want to create. I trust myself to take small steps every day towards my vision.ā€

The beginning of a new year has to be one of my favorite times because it represents a new beginning — a fresh page. No matter how the previous year went, this was my time to craft a new me, a new life filled with new goals and a chance to dream as big as my heart’s content.

At the same time, I am one to admit that it’s very easy to set goals without really thinking about why they matter — or how I will actually achieve them.

However, In the past year, I have nailed down my perfect goal-setting system that has allowed me to achieve some of my biggest goals to date—even the ones that I thought were ā€œtoo high.ā€

To help you do the same, I will be breaking down everything from A-Z in a 4 part series for the next 4 weeks starting with today’s newsletter.

In this first part of our 4-part series on goal-setting, we’re talking about:

  • šŸ“ How to set intentional goals that align with what you truly want (not what other people expect of you).

  • 🌈 How to create a vision board that inspires actions. (this step is underrated but SOOO important—because if you can envision it you are more likely to achieve it)

  • šŸŽÆ How to break your goals down using the SMART framework so you stay focused all year. (consistency turns small efforts into BIG results).

Let’s dive deeper into each topic and how you can implement it.

Step 1: Start with Your Vision šŸ–¼

Before you set any goal, you need to get very clear on what you want your life to look and feel like in 2025.

Here is how to create a vision board that actually works:

  1. Gather Your Tools: The two platforms I will always recommend are Pinterest & Canva.

    • Use Pinterest to create a new board and save images that reflect what you want to achieve and how you want your life to look. Then upload those images to Canva to create your vision board.

  2. Focus on Feelings: I recommend thinking beyond the material goals.

    • For example: Rather than just focusing on getting a new car, shift your attention to how owning that car would make you feel. Research suggests that when you immerse yourself in those emotions—like excitement, pride, or joy—you align yourself more closely with the energy needed to manifest and ultimately achieve your goal of owning that car. ✨✨

So, how do you want to feel in 2024? Confident? Calm? Fulfilled? Write everything down. šŸ“

  3. Be very specific: Use images, words, or quotes that clearly represent the exact experiences or milestones you wish to achieve.

    • This is VERY important because the more closely the visuals match your goals, the easier it becomes to imagine yourself living that reality. This helps you see your goals more clearly and makes it easier to feel motivated and take action to achieve them. šŸŽÆ

In other words, the clearer your goals are, the more motivated you will be and the more likely you are to take action to achieve them.

Hot Girl Tip: Make sure to place your vision board somewhere you’ll see EVERY DAY—this will keep you inspired to take action.šŸ¤

If you prefer a digital vision board, you can use Canva templates to design your phone's home and lock screen or your laptop wallpaper.

You can also take it a step further by printing out your favorite images and quotes to create a physical vision board (which I’m planning to do this year), to hang in your bedroom or place it in your workspace, office, or any area where you’ll see it often to keep yourself inspired and focused on your goals.

Step 2: Set SMART Goals šŸŽÆ

Now that you have set your big goals, let’s get SMART. Big dreams are amazing, but most likely your goals are too vague which can lead to you to becoming frustrated—something you probably wish to avoid. That is where SMART goals come in:

(Make sure all your goals tick off each one of these steps)

  1. Specific: What exactly do you wish to achieve?

  2. Measurable: How will you know you have achieved it?

  3. Achievable: Is this goal realistic based on where you are now? (be honest with yourself) šŸ’–

  4. Relevant: Does this goal align with your values and vision? (keyword: Your not Others)

  5. Time-Bound: What’s your deadline? (with your deadline you are able to reverse-engineer your timeline and decide what you need to do every day or every week to achieve that goal.)

For Example: One of my biggest goals for 2025 is to grow this newsletter into a platform that reaches hundreds and thousands of women who want to grow and build the life of their dreams. 🌟

Here’s how I’m turning that into a SMART goal:

  1. Specific: I want to grow my email subscriber list to 10,000 subscribers by the end of 2025.

  2. Measurable: I’ll track my subscriber growth each month and aim to add 800 - 1,000 new subscribers monthly.

  3. Achievable: To make this happen, I’ll focus on creating consistent, high-value content promoting the newsletter through TikTok, Youtube, Pinterest, and my new podcast, (šŸŽ‰first podcast episode dropping on Wednesday) and collaborating with other creators.

  4. Relevant: This goal aligns perfectly with my mission to support women in navigating uncertainty, achieving their biggest most scariest goals, and building a life they are proud of. šŸ¤

  5. Time-bound: The deadline is December 31, 2025, with quarterly check-ins to assess my progress throughout the year.

Breaking your goals down into actionable steps as I have done above not only makes the goal feel more exciting but also achievable.

Step 3: Set Goal with Intention šŸ’”

Here’s a question to ask yourself before setting any goal:

ā€œWhy does this matter to me?ā€

When your goals align with your core values and the life you want to create, you’ll feel more connected to them—and less likely to give up when things get tough. 🌻

Takeaway: Your goals aren’t just things to check off a list—they’re stepping stones to becoming the person you want to be. šŸ¦‹
